San Pietro sits at the bend of an open valley with long-range views in each direction. Facing west, the primary view captures Casole d’Elsa, the estate’s namesake hill town, which is especially beautiful at sunset in the summertime. When oriented east, the rolling hills for which Tuscany is adored come into sight. Signaling springtime, a seasonal stream runs at the bottom of the valley just below the home, adding to the romanticism of San Pietro.
This reconstructed farmhouse spans three bedrooms, three and one-half bathrooms with a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom annex. The centerpiece of the main home is its tower, a historic characteristic of Tuscan architecture and found in very few homes in the region today. Housed in the tower is one of the master bedrooms with a vaulted ceiling, windows on all four walls and long-range views towards Casole. Equally gracious is the second upstairs master, enhanced by arched windows and a private, covered terrace.
The entrance to the home is accessed through an arched loggia beneath the bedroom terrace. On the main level are two living rooms, a kitchen, dining room and third master suite. Adjacent to the living room is an outdoor forno and pergola-covered dining area that leads to the infinity-edge pool, hot tub and adjoining terrace. On the other side of the home, a stone path leads to the annex and its own outdoor terrace. San Pietro is currently available for sale.
