The first to live at La Fornace no doubt chose this place for the setting, next to a seasonal stream, in a beautiful valley, surrounded by sunflowers and fields, it is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places on the property. It is ideally positioned just a short distance to the main road that goes to Radicondoli as well as to the Castello.

The entry from the main drive is soothing, crossing the stream, and ascending to the residence. The views are expansive. There is rich history here, La Fornace was a kiln, much of the terra cotta throughout Castello di Casole no doubt originated right here. As part of the reconstruction, the original furnace will be reinterpreted as a wine cellar.
