Castello di Casole is a 4,200-acre estate located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Castello di Casole includes an intimate 41-suite boutique Italian hotel, various dining venues, world-class spa, 28 luxury Farmhouses - available as Tuscan real estate opportunities - and a model game reserve. All are carefully situated among the rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves that span this exceptionally vast estate.

Where is Castello di Casole?
The estate of Castello di Casole is the most prominent and ideally located in all of Tuscany, Italy. Those that know the region best treasure this particular locale for a myriad of reasons. First, Castello di Casole sits amidst the rolling hills of central Tuscany. It is 20 minutes west of Siena and 45 minutes south of Florence. The Italian coast is a scenic hour's drive to the west, while the walled fortress of Monteriggioni is a comfortable bike ride. Nearby neighboring towns include the hilltop towns of Mensano, Radicondoli and the namesake, Casole d'Elsa. All are within 15 minutes of the estate. Why the name Castello di Casole?
Castello di Casole literally means the “Castle of Casole.” The centuries old castle dating from the Etruscan epoch is situated on the highest hilltop of the estate and was the original castle of the nearby hilltown Casole d’Elsa. The castle’s tower dating back 1,100 years can be seen from many outreaching hamlets and towns. The castle, now a luxury boutique hotel in Tuscany, includes 41 graciously appointed, luxury suites, fine and casual dining restaurants, pizzeria and gelateria, a fitness center and a world-class spa. The Castello is centrally located on the property and is the gathering point for all Owners and guests.

Who owns the property?
In 2005, developer SV-Timbers of Colorado, acquired the estate. SV-Timbers is a joint venture of Timbers Resorts of Carbondale, CO and SV Capital of Denver, CO.

These Farmhouses - the Casali as they are called in Italian - which date back centuries have undergone the process of complete restoration and renovation. Emerging as luxurious homes, these Farmhouses embrace the charm and character of old-world Italy with their heavy-stone exterior walls and Tuscan-style architecture. Regardless of ownership type, your real estate purchase is a deeded fee simple interest which can be willed to your children, transferred or resold. Deeded ownership ensures that your family will enjoy Castello di Casole for years to come.

How often may I use my fractional ownership?
Your luxury Tuscan Villa at Castello di Casole allows you to come as often as you like. Subject only to the club's reservation procedures, your use is essentially unlimited. This fractional ownership structure was pioneered by Timbers Resorts over ten years ago with only a few other Private Residence clubs in the US at the time. And with several of its resorts utilizing this reservation system, it has established a track record for ensuring owner satisfaction. Generally, the reservation procedures provide Owners with a guaranteed number of planned weeks each year during the prime seasons. If you are fortunate enough to have even more time to spend at your vacation home, the club can accommodate you on a space-available basis throughout the year.

What happens if my schedule changes and I cannot make my planned weeks?
If you are not able to use your planned weeks, you may simply cancel a booked vacation and reschedule it. Or, you can always send family or friends in your absence. This is one of the exciting elements of fractional ownership; you have the flexibility to alter your vacation plans throughout each and every year to fit your ever changing, busy lifestyle. Additionally, there is also the opportunity for you to add weeks to the Timbers Reciprocity Program and trade your time with an Owner at another club within the Timbers Collection.

Do Owners pay annual assessments?
Yes, in keeping with Castello di Casole's goal of providing ownership to hassle-free, maintenance free real estate, the club's staff will handle all the details of maintaining the club and its residences. On behalf of the HOA, the club's professional management team will collect annual dues from Owners and then manage payment of all utilities, property taxes, insurance, staff salaries, supplies, materials, maintenance, trash removal and accounting fees. A portion of your annual dues also goes toward contributing to a capital reserve fund for future repair and replacement needs.

Located in the heart of Tuscany, does Castello di Casole have its own private label wine?
Yes. With 4,200 acres of estate grounds, vineyards are a common part of the property's rolling hills and shallow valleys. Each year, the estate harvests its grapes and produces a Cabernet, Sangiovese, Merlot and Petit Verdot blend. These Italian private-label wines, which can be stored in your Casale or in the extensive wine cellar at the Castello, are available for you, your family and friends to enjoy. This special wine from your personal estate will make a great gift too.

What is the best way to get to Castello di Casole?
Access is easy. "Aeroporto di Firenze" or "Amerigo Vespucci" Airport as it appears on all the road signs in Florence (FLR) is the nearest airport to Castello di Casole. This small airport is served by convenient international flight options from major European cities such as Paris, London, Frankfurt, Brussels, Zurich, Rome and Milan. The Florence airport is about a one hour drive from Castello di Casole, and your personal driver will be there to pick you up for each return visit. Other major airports include the Milan Airport (Malpensa MXP) and Rome airport (Leonardo da Vinci FCO). These are each about a four-hour drive from Castello di Casole, and are a wonderful alternative if you wish to explore these cities on your way to your Castello hideaway.
